Thank you for joining me once again in my nonsensical ramblings. This week's episode was pretty decent. I think I liked the last one more, but only because of the Jaime/Brienne sword fight. I've been waiting for that for a long time. Again, just such wonderful casting for those two. Most of the casting is brilliant. I also really love the Arya, Gendry, and Hot Pie scenes. I don't much care for Arya and 'touching' but there was a nice scene this week between her and Hot Pie when she went to leave.
Robb is really starting to step up into his role as King in the North. He will be a fine leader one day.* His scene with Edmure after the funeral was great. Also, what's with all the Cat development? Didn't she get enough last episode?
I don't know why they felt the need to make a pattern with the horse bodies. That's just going to confuse the TV only fans into thinking that has something to do with anything, and it really doesn't. So good on you HW producers, yet another way for you to waste money on things that didn't need to be done. You can't cast Strong Belwas, but you sure can blow the budget in other seemingly small areas.  It also still bothers me that Ghost isn't with Jon.
I don't like how they're making Stannis out to be in the show. I really don't. As much as he relies on Melisandre, he doesn't want her in any other way than for her to make him king. Not some 'I want your body way.' He's a man of honor and he would never turn his back on that. Otherwise he might as well just undo half the crazy shit he's done. Like give Davos back his fingers. (I know it's not possible, shhh let me dream)
One last thing, even though I'm not sure why they're hiding Ramsay, it's really freaking awesome. That is so totally like him to just mindf*ck the hell out of Theon before he flays all his fingers and toes. He's a tricksy bastard (don't tell him I said that though)
All in all it was a decent episode. Nothing too strong, nothing too weak. The final seconds made this episode, and based on that performance, I'll give this episode a 7 and a half.

SPOILERS

Jaime losing his hand is a very very big part of what's to come in King's Landing. And they did it wonderfully. I don't know if the man who did it is supposed to be Vargo Hoat or not...  He could have had a bit of a lisp there at the end, but I could have just wanted it to be there. I don't know why they didn't just make him one of the brave companions  It seems like it would have been easy, and asthetically pleasing for us fans for him to say 'I'm Vargo Hoat of the Brave Companions' or however you would spell it with that godforsaken lisp.

*Robb will make a fine King one day.... meaning he will make a fine King for one day. And then the Red Wedding will happ
